Blue Array announces Head of SEO
The UK’s largest SEO specialist agency has appointed Michael Stepney as their new Head of SEO.
Stepney has over 20 years of experience in the SEO industry and has worked at Blue Array since 2018 as SEO & Innovation Director. Prior to this, he ran his own SEO agency.
Stepney has been responsible for heading up award-winning campaigns for The Post Office, Help for Heroes, and Go Henry, and has played a crucial part in leading the agency’s best-in-class SEO strategies.
The appointment follows the departure of Kim Dewe who has led and grown the team for the last 3 years. The agency, who doubled its headcount after the pandemic, achieved B Corp status in 2022, won Best Use of Search in Finance and Third Sector at the EU Search Awards this year, and have big plans for 2023;
“As industry leaders, Blue Array intends to accelerate its business towards the future of intelligent automation. Primarily to improve operational efficiencies and ultimately benefit our people and customers. Secondarily to offer new business models to our customers including ‘Performance SEO’™. Mike Stepney has already and will continue to play a pivotal role in realising this ambition.” – Simon Schnieders
Stepney will be responsible for the continued growth of the department, expansion of technology, and diversifying the product and services for the business:
“Blue Array has been raising the industry bar for years. I was drawn to the agency by its ambitious goals, innovative mindset, and people-oriented values. That has not changed in the 4+ years I’ve been here. So to say that I am thrilled at the opportunity to head up the SEO department is an understatement. Every day, I am inspired by the talented people around me and look forward to the adventure ahead as we continue to raise the bar.” – Mike Stephney
Stephney’s position starts with immediate effect.
